Effective July 1, 2012
At Infiniti Mobile®, we’re dedicated to providing superior customer satisfaction and our associates and agents are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. Earning and maintaining your trust is extremely important to us, as we value your business.
The purpose of this notice is to explain what Customer Proprietary Network Information (“CPNI”) is, how we at Infiniti Mobile use such information to provide you with telecommunication products and services that best meet your needs, and to ask your permission to share this information with our agents and the Infiniti Mobile family of companies for the purposes of marketing Infiniti Mobile’s or its affiliated companies’ products and services to you.
While we extensively train our associates to ensure they uphold the protection of your personal information, we are required by law to provide this notification to you at this time. You have the right to the protection of your confidential information and it is our responsibility to protect that information.
What is Customer Proprietary Network Information (“CPNI”)?
It refers to and includes information that we have about you by virtue of our relationship with you as your wireless service provider. This includes information about your account usage- such as the type and quantity of the services you subscribe to, and other details about your calling, text messaging, or picture messaging plan. Call detail information includes the date, time, call-to location, number called or the number the call was received from, and minutes and charges of the call. Text or picture messaging detail includes the number the message was sent to or received from, date, and time the message was sent from your phone. Text or picture messaging detail does not include the actual message content. Use of CPNI is subject to federal laws and regulations with which Infiniti Mobile is required to comply.
How does Infiniti Mobile use this information?
We use CPNI to help us service your account when you call us with questions, to guard against fraudulent use of our network, to provision our services, or to generate and collect your bill. We may also use it to recommend other wireless products and services to you. For example, if you routinely exceed the minutes in your calling plan, we are able to use your calling records to recommend a calling plan that may be better suited to meet your needs. The CPNI rules recognize the value of our use of this information to serve you and permit our use of your information provided we safeguard it from unauthorized disclosure. We want to assure all of our customers that we have practices and procedures in place to keep your personal information safe.
How is Infiniti Mobile restricted from using my CPNI today?
Infiniti Mobile is prohibited from allowing our agents and affiliated family of companies (collectively “Agents”) from using this information without your permission for marketing Infiniti Mobile’s or its affiliated companies’ products and services to you. Your permission allows them to use this information to offer suggestions about new wireless products and services to help you get more out of your existing wireless service, or to assist you with your other telecommunication needs. Because any Agent that uses your CPNI works for us they will have the same duty to safeguard your CPNI as we do.
Will you allow anyone else access to my CPNI?
We will never disclose your information to unaffiliated third parties not working for us without your prior consent except to initiate, render, bill, and collect for services provided by Infiniti Mobile. However, there may be instances when Infiniti Mobile may access or disclose CPNI without providing you a choice in order to: (i) protect or defend the legal rights or property of Infiniti Mobile, our Affiliated Companies or their employees, agents and contractors (including enforcement of our agreements); (ii) protect the safety and security of customers or members of the public including acting in urgent circumstances; (iii) protect against fraud or for risk management purposes; or (iv) comply with the law or legal process such as a subpoena.
How do I give permission for your Agents to access my CPNI?
You do not need to take any action to grant us permission to use your CPNI with our Agents. However, if you prefer not to provide permission, it may make it more difficult for us to communicate with you through our Agents about new offers and features. If you would prefer that our Agents not use your CPNI for the purposes for which permission is required, then you may “opt out”-that is, you may instruct us not to permit our Agents to use your CPNI for the limited purposes outlined in this notice. That is your right and it will have no effect on our existing relationship or the services that you currently receive from us.
If I do not want to grant permission for you to allow Agents to use my CPNI, how do I contact you?
If you wish to opt-out, simply contact us at any time by calling our toll-free CPNI Opt-out Line (918-960-0023) and follow the recorded instructions. TTY users can opt-out by first dialing a telecommunications relay service (TRS) center, via 711, in order to contact a TRS Communications Assistant (CA). Then, simply ask the CA to dial 918-960-0023 and follow the recorded instructions. If we do not hear from you within 33 days of the mailing date of this notification, we will assume that you approve of our use of your CPNI for the purposes described in this notice. Your approval will be valid until such time as you affirmatively revoke it which you may do by contacting us at 1-918-960-0023.
We value you as our customer and appreciate the opportunity to serve as your wireless carrier. For additional information regarding our policies and practices for protecting customer privacy, please visit our Web site at infinitimobile.com/privacy.
